Rat cage recommendations

What cage do you have for your rats? We have three girls who need to move from their temporary little cage. We have a huge one but the bars are too widely spaced and I don’t see them ever growing big enough.

We used to keep ours in a massive aquarium with a mesh wire lids on easy to keep clean and no escaping or chewing the bars. I was a child so am happy to be told they are no longer deemed suitable due to X, Y or Z. Of course it was big and heavy so that was a downside.

So did I, as a teenager, but no longer suitable - apparently the poor air circulation makes it hard for them to breathe. Mine lived till they were past 3.

Aah OK. I get that things move on.....ours lived quite a long time too....
