Bonded male Guinea pigs in same room as females?

We have a pair of bonded males in one room in a large cage (c and c 6x3) with a single male (very old, health issues and his friend died recently) in a cage next to them.

We recently gained a castrated male with a female and have been housing them in a different room in a large cage.

In an ideal world I would move them all to the same room. It's a large room and the girl/boy combo would be at the other side of the room.

But - is that silly? Online there are lots of people it works fine with, but I know most places advise not.

Has anyone tried it and it's been fine/a disaster?!
If I tried it but the males started to fall out, I could take the female/male back out, would the bond be wrecked with the males then though or is it repairable as long as I don't introduce any lovely smelling females into the room again?
