DH woke up at midnight to find the hamster sat next to his side of the bed.
He had escaped from his cage by knocking his bedroom roof off, climbed down the table tha his caghe is on and climbed 13 stairs before making his way to us!
Totoally bizarre, if he had gone any where else he could have been lost for days!

I bet that frightened the life out of him! (dh, not the hamster!)

Our rabbit has successfully swam in the toilet and jumped in the tumble dryer. If there was a MENSA for rabbits, she would definately be a member.

rofl at rabbit in toilet bowl! on no hope mine doesn't do that

oxocube · 06/01/2008 18:34

Hope mine has the sense not to do that in a house with a dog and 3 cats

candypandy · 06/01/2008 18:34

Aaaw

When I was young we lost our hamster for a week or so. Eventually discovered him... he had found one of my dad's old shoes, pulled the shoelaces out, formed them into a bed inside the shoe and was living there quite happily lol.

If it had tried to live in one of my shoes, it would have suffered a very unpleasant and premature death... poooh!

I bought three hamsters once and let them out in the bathroom not realising there was a big hole behind the toilet. Managed to catch one before it followed the other two. We could hear them running around between the floorboards for ages and then it all went silent.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 06/01/2008 19:20

oh no!

notalone · 09/01/2008 17:26

That happenned to our hammie Lazarou - she escaped and must have gone into the hole next to the toilet. Lots of scrabbling then silence. Actually, she may have reincarnated as we now have a field mouse somewhere in the house instead. Eeek!
