[Academic] Questionnaire on Hamster Enrichment and Hamster Balls (Hamster Owners/Carers of all breeds UK 18+)

This survey is intended for those who own/care for a hamster (of all breeds) who are living in the UK and are aged 18 or over.

A foreword of how your data will be collected is included at the beginning of this survey questionnaire. Respondents are reminded that that they are free to withdraw from this survey at any time UP UNTIL THE POINT OF SUBMISSION. After submission, being that this is this is an anonymous questionnaire, it will be impossible to retrieve the answers you have submitted.

I've completed your questionnaire. I volunteer for an animal charity and am heavily involved in animal welfare. Regarding exercise balls, we never ever condone the use of Exercise Balls for any animal. They disorientate the animal and it can be covered in its own urine and faeces inside. I believe Germany has or is about to ban their use as they contravene animal welfare standards. Please let pets free roam.

I have done the survey, I am also in agreement with previous poster. Hamster balls are dangerous they can cause back injuries to hamsters.
They need to stop the sale of these along with small “cute” cages.
