Spoiling my pets.

AIBU to have created a social media account for one of my beautiful and loving pets?

AIBU to be giving one of my pets its own room?

AIBU to treat my pets as if they are my fluffy babies as I call them?

I only ask this as most people don’t care at all as long as my pets are happy, healthy, safe and medically okay. However, I’ve had some people on my pets social media account who have messaged me awful things that have hurt me about me for example dressing up one of my pets (like in a dress or a top maybe) and it’s obvious to everyone that my pet isn’t uncomfortable in this at all as it poses and acts as if it doesn’t even know that it’s wearing anything. I only put my main pet in cute stuff sometimes and not 24/7.

I have had a few friends who’ve told me that I’m crazy and stupid for giving my adopted pet it’s very own room which has helped to rehabilitate him before my other pets accepted him.

I know I shouldn’t let this hurt me but coming from someone who has decided to never have kids for many reasons it’s hurtful.

It's got nothing to do with anyone else! Why do people always give their unwanted opinions?!
If it makes you happy, do it Smile

YANBU for you pet to have its own SM account.
YANBU for your pet to have its own room if that’s what you want.
YANBU to call your pets fur babies.
I was with you until you mentioned the clothes. YABU to put clothes on an animal.
Putting clothes on a pet isn’t spoiling them, whether it’s a dog, cat or ferret, animals do not need clothes on for ‘likes’ on SM.
Pets don’t “pose” and it isn’t obvious if some pets are uncomfortable.

Keeping a new pet separate until existing pets get used to the scent is sensible so your friends sound unkind calling you crazy and stupid. Maybe change your settings on your accounts so only friends can view your pictures if they want to, and don’t read any messages from people you don’t know to save any upset.

My guinea-pigs had their own Pighouse ( wooden playhouse) with a light, and electric sockets for a heater and a fan.
They had the small bedroom in winter ( as it was unheated )
We put hats on them for their Christmas Eve photos (only balanced not secured and no other clothing)
They were my Good Children because they ate vegetables and didn't ask for iPhones or give me verbals (well maybe in Cavy Chat they did Grin )

But they were 100% animals with their own needs and we respected that .

The best thing you can do for them is give them a good life and when it is "time" give them a Good Death.

Grin But they also wee on their bedroom food, poo in their food and then eat each others.

bedroom food = bedroom floor

Grin yes there is that but you overlook these minor faults .

They were wildly excited by a bag of salad leaves whereas my DS would've clamped his mouth shut !

This is true, my teenager never snuggled up for a hug when I gave him a bag of kale Grin
