Got a new hamster last week. Our 4th so not new to this. New big cage. Hamster seemed fine. Very alert and inquisitive. We haven't handled him yet as giving him time to adjust. Eating and drinking all fine. He is in a quiet warm room. Just gone to see him and noticed he is vey wet underneath. Obviously thinking wet tail. Could it be anything else? Have booked emergency vet appointment for the morning. Can I do anything in the meantime!

Hello, was it wet tail? I had a hamster with wet tail and took Zoidy to the vet and they gave him an injection. Unfortunately it didn't help Zoidy we phoned Pets At Home to let them know incase any other hamster was unwell from the same cage. They apologised and reimbursed the vet fees, plus let us pick a new hamster if or when we where feeling a bit better.
