We found her under the hutch. Dont know why she died, shes one of 3 that we have. Think shes about 6 years, is that a good age for a rabbit?

yes, i think it is an average age for a rabbit Sad

Hmm, 6 years is middle aged, I lost my last two at 12 and 13 years old. They lived outdoors until they were 10 years old.

Was she fully vaccinated (presuming you're in the UK)? Any signs of predators around which could have caused shock or a heart attack?

Snooper22 · 20/11/2019 13:49

They were all due for their booster injections. They all live outside together in UK. We found a rat by her but dont think she died from the rat as didn't look attacked. I'd only just cleaned the hutch out and she seemed ok. So sad.

I haven’t managed to keep a rabbit alive beyond 7 despite the best care possible (vaccinations, hay based diet, living in a huge insulated shed, etc). Were they very overdue vaccinations? Do you vaccinated for VHD2? Sorry for your loss. They’re such characters Flowers

Snooper22 · 20/11/2019 15:22

Yes they were vaccinated for VHD2 as they had to go into boarding last year so only out by a few months. She was a feisty character which is why it was such a shock. :/
