Hamster?

Hi. Is anyone able to tell me what's going on with my hamsters eye? She's nearly 3 years old so still going strong! But suddenly her fur has gone around from her eye. Is this normal for old age?
Yes I will book a vet but if it's normal I won't worry?

Maybe the eye duct is blocked. Not much you can do with that. It’s causing irrational to the surrounding skin. The vet maybe able to give you a topical cream to help with the soreness.

If it was my hammy I’d wash the eye carefully using a cotton wool pad dipped in a warm salt water solution. Few dabs everyday and see if that helps. Best wishes to hammy
