Half wild rats

We have 2 lovely rats from a breeder who also takes in rescues. I'm on her Facebook page. Today she was advertising some rescue rats but said they were from a female pet rat who was accidentally impregnated by a wild rat. Out of pure nosiness, how would this happen? Our 2 pampered princesses would never meet a wild rat. I'm sure if they did they would just be eaten up! Anyone got any ideas? I'm so curious. I don't know the lady enough to ask and I don't want to highlight my lack of rat knowledge on Facebook!

Did she escape?

My friend's pet mouse got pregnant by a sneaky wild mouse squeezing through a hole in her tank

Were the resulting mice babies different in any way behaviour wise? I'm thinking Game of Thrones Wildlings here 😆

I don't know any of the details Saving and I'm not brave enough to ask. But how would you get your rat back if she escaped and met wild rats? Wouldn't she be gone for good? Our 2 are in their cage or pen. No chance of meeting any other animals.
