what sort of guineapig hutch do you have? and what do you line it with

i have newspaper, sawdust and hay in the base
what do you use?

Weve tried various things over the years but now it’s a layer of puppy pads, Carefresh bedding which is soft and dust free and hay is in a manger type thing for feeding.

We have an eglu and line with newspaper and wood clippings.

oh i have wood shavings, bought in error, i was worried if they were a bit rough for gps

They have the Bluebell hutches outdoors with runs attached, vinyl squares on the wood means you can sweep it all up and the pee doesnt warp the wood. We use shavings only, they tend to line it with hay as they please, except 2 of the greedy boys who eat it all instead, they don't play! Just sleep wheek and way.

Ones from pets at home are too small.

They roam free a lot indoor and are outside on the grass weather permitting. They also have an outdoor enclosure in case my daughter goes out but wants to leave them outside.
