Look! Jesse and our new baby guinea Sprout!
Followed your advice 70 and there was absolutely no bother, they're snuggled up together and Jesse seems so relaxed with him.
Thanks so much for the advice Xx

Oohhh squeeeee Heart Warming indeed Grin

He is gorgeous and so TINY

The difference between a lardy hog and a light -as -a -little -bird, razor clawed little piglet leaves me spellbound .And their droppings are teeny .

Enjoy him , I love how he's cuddled up to his new step-dad. Grin

Aw yes, Step dad you're right, I hadn't thought of that! So far it couldn't have gone smoother. We were SO tempted to bring at least one of Sprouts brothers with him X

Boar trios are tricky to manage though (lots of hormones there)

Two boars is a lovely combination.
Did Jesse chose Sprout (cute name Grin ) or was it like when we got GP3, he was selected and popped in the box with GP1 (who instantly decided he was The One )

swizzlestix · 10/12/2017 21:36

Haha really!
My daughter chose him as he looked lively and very cute ( tbh they all did!).
He's a confident little Sprout, I recall when we got our first pigs 4 years ago, they were so timid we didn't see them eat or even move for some time. This little guy is squeaking away, lively, even doing a bit of rumble strutting! Thankfully Jesse still seems quite chilled and is going with the flow so far!!! We're keeping them in prob this week so we can keep an eye then they'll move out to the big hutch inside the shed.
Where we got Sprout they had lots of their retired Guineas and rabbits who were happily eating their morning veg in the snow!

😍😍😍😍

Great name!

FernieB · 11/12/2017 12:25

Love the name 'sprout'! He's so cute and tiny. Also thanks for the photo of the snowy bunnies - I showed them to Current Bun (under his radiator) just to prove to him that rabbits can be outdoor animals.

swizzlestix · 11/12/2017 20:52

Yes Fernie those bunnies were seriously hardcore and they're southerners too!

Ahh does he 'popcorn' ? Cutest thing to see a tiny piglet bouncing about while the older (more staid and sensible) piggie looks on muttering darkly about these youngsters and their malarky

swizzlestix · 14/12/2017 21:10

Yes 70! I have seen a bit of cheeky popcorning! I'd forgotten how much like seizures it looks like! Sprout is growing by the day and very active and chirpy, Jesse thankfully is taking it all in his very tolerant stride! Hope you and your crew are well Smile
