Hamster limping

DS I have a lovely Syrian hamster, who is 21 months. I noticed tonight he is limping on his back leg.

It is not red, hot, cold, swollen, or sore to touch. He was able to get about fine on the sofa, but not his ball.

He hasn't fallen outside the cage, and nowwhere to fall in it.

He squeaked only when I put my hand over his hind quarters so I wonder if it is hip - though he might just have been annoyed at me stopping him running about.

I would normally wait and see how he was in the next 24/48 hours, but we are going on holiday (with him coming too) Saturday am. Would the vet be able to do anything? I don't want to stress him out.

I'd run him in to see the vet. He might be able to provide pain relief, if nothing else.

Thanks. Took him to the vet as was still limping tonight. Absolutely fine "probably a bit stiff from sleeping on it".

Oh well, rather go and get a result like that than leave it, only to find out it's something serious. Hope you're all enjoying your holiday!

My feelings exactly.

Thanks
