Thinking £3 a day. Does that seem ok.

Are the pigs staying at their own house with the teen visiting to feed/clean/cuddle?

My piggies go to Small animal Boarding (SAB) They charge £5/pig/day or £7.50 for 2 sharing. The most I've had was 5 in two cages so it reduces slightly in price/pig for bulk Grin .
They take their own pellets but are given hay/veg/fresh bedding.

It would also include deep cleaning between visitors (which you wouldn't need to do if they were in their own cages).

You have 3 pigs IIRC?

So if your Pig Sitter didn't have to provide food/bedding (maybe buy fresh veg) and 3 pigs are as quick to clean as 1,
How many times will they visit and what distance do they need to travel?
Do they need to put them out / catch them?

My DD looked after my two pigs when I was away seeing my DParents. She had to clean out her own 3 , (so mine were no extra effort Grin ) they were all indoors (Winter) She did have to give GP5 medicine am/pm.
DD extracted a purse and make-up as her reward (it would've cost me less to put them in boarding) Wink

Thanks 70

Only duties are feeding in morning and evening - no cleaning out/ putting out/ food provision/ medicine or anything like that. Travel - on foot 5 mins down the road (sometimes quite arduous for a teen)

We only have 2 piggies now as our grand 11 yr old lady sadly died after a long and happy life.

Firstly, you had a piggy reach 11 years! Well done, bows down in awe.

I would pay teen sitter £5 per day. That would be a sizable amount and sends out the subconscious message that pig sitting is a responsible job and worth doing well.

Aww I didn't know she'd moseyed across The Bridge Sad

Did she forgive you for the Old GP Smelly Bum thread? I can imagine her glaring at her cagemates saying "I don't know what agnes is on about, no smelly old pigs here "
