So we have two boys aged 10 weeks. They are still quite shy but totally adorable!

However one of them has dry white scaly bits on his inner ear and I have just noticed now has a sore looking red dot on the outside of his ear right at the back, around 3/4mm diameter.

I am assuming this is fugal or mites but I am not sure which? Also, what is the best treatment?

Also they are still quite skittish and hiding a lot. Is this normal? They are eating loads though!

Many thanks!

That's ring worm, they must go to the vet they will probably prescribe something called itrafungal. Don't handle them without gloves as it's easily passed between species. It's usually caused by stress or contamination and is common in Gpigs.

Them being skittish is normal, they'll calm as they get older :)
But you must must must get them to to the vets for ring worm off the shelf anti fungal treatments won't work.

And if the vet confirms its ringworm, you need to check the whole family and all other pets very carefully, and get to your Dr if necessary for treatment.
Both your Guinea pigs will need treating so they can't pass it back and forth forever.
