I know someone who has kept them.

The females need to be spayed or breed otherwise they go into ongoing season (I am told)
They can bite bloody hard quite efficiently.

You would need to find a vet who has ferret experience.

They whiff.

What's the difference between a stoat and a weasel?
Weasels are weasely intentified and stoats are stoataly different.
