Water Bottle Leaking

Or have I put it in wrong?
We got 2 Chinese Dwarf Hamsters today (although having read some of the threads here I'm a bit trepidatious!). The water bottle is dripping very slowly but enough to empty out after a while. I am worried about them not having water overnight although they have got some Kiwi fruit to nibble which is quite watery. Any advice please?

is it new or old? mine need replacing every now and then. try refilling it right to the top with no air bubbles and see if that stops the leak?

Davros · 06/04/2015 23:37

Thanks I will try that. It is new, bought today

I used a bowl

Water bottles are a pile of cack imo.
All my smallies have bowls....

Interesting. I may try a bowl. They couldn't possibly need the amount of water in the bottle so it isn't necessary

hey you should fill the bottle right up.. screw the lid (obz hehe) then tip back to its normal position over ur and your supposed to squeeze it lightly and shake it and then the little ball dropper creates a vacuum .. hope that helps Grin

Thanks for idiots guide! I will try that. It seems better after I filled it right up but I'll follow the rest of the procedure too

YY to fill to the brim, no air bubbles and it'll create a vacuum.

We have glass bottles (Living World) that are good, don't leak.

Little madams don't actually use it though Hmm
