I have the option of buying very cheap carpet remnant which I was thinking of putting on the floor outside (as we have a concrete yard) so our piggies can start going outside in their run, without the coldness of the concrete...

What's the general opinion? When it got mucky we would just throw it away...

Would they chew it? I'm thinking not as they don't chew carpet the in the house?

Opinions please!

They might chew it - just because they don't chew indoors is no guarentee............... Wink

the himmy sows we had when I was a child were nicknamed "The Moths" because they liked the darkness and ate a wool carpet (little ratbags)

Carpet might hold any dampness too.

Cardboard and newspaper is easier really, chuck the newspaper out when it gets peed on, cardboard should last a while .

id use viynl floor offcuts from a carpet shop big enough to cover the floor of their pen or cage ect.. because its flat they will find it very hard to chew and it will take the coldness away Grin
