Which hamster cage? (Syrian)

We bought a baby Syrian a week ago (6 weeks old) and I feel like I've cocked up the cage buying a bit. Blush

I had a hamster as a teenager and had a Rotastak cage so went for one again (the adventure one) but it just seems like the opposite of the tardis - looks massive but the poor wee hamster looks cramped inside (and she's got a bit more growing in her yet).

I'm now looking at other cages (budget is a little tight but the poor hamster has the right to a decent home). I'm considering 3: Hamster Heaven, Savic Alaska and Barney Skyline.

Does anyone have any thoughts, experience or comments (or any other recommendations?) We don't have masses of space by the way (hence dithering between the 80cm and the 1 metre).

I don't want to cock up a second time Blush

The hamster heave is only £59 on zooplus ATM. I think when we looked for the gerbils the recommended size for a hamster was 80x50 so that one would be fine.

I've always just used the ones the pet shop recommended and felt awful once I did some research and found out how big they really needed a cage.

I know, I feel retrospectively guilty about my poor hamster when I was younger. Why on earth do they sell them as ok for hamsters when they are too small?!

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the hamster heaven one and that is a fab price. We don't live in the UK but zooplus have a website in our country and it's a similar price there (£70). I was thinking the Alaska is cheaper but then I suppose once you've bought the wheel and toys etc, they'd pretty much work out the same?

I ordered a large hamster cage for my baby rats a few weeks ago which is huge at 80cm but obviously not big enough when fully grown. They have the mamble cage in stock now for £39.99 for 80com and 49.99 for the 100cm and they are lovely Smile Delivery was next day and they were brilliant. If you google mamble cage there are youtube videos showing the size.
