I've just spring cleaned the pigs house and I am so absolutely fed up with leaking water bottles! There must be an alternative to the 'classic' one that most pet shops stock.

Has anyone found anything that works? Ie doesn't piss water all the water out within 24 hours? I've taken to using an old dish under it but then then GPigs poo in it and I have poo sludge do contend with and I'm not sure what's worse!

I've had loads over the last 5 years and they all leak a bit. I think, as my gins like in a converted play house that it might be to do with the temperature as it's worse outside than in.

I think I'm going to try a chicken water feeder.

ours leak as well. ive tried a few different brands of ht eplastic ones and they all leak, brought a glass one and that leaks. The rabbits is the exact same bottle (plastic) and doesn't leak even after 6 months usage.

I have a couple of "Living World" glass bottles that don't leak. They used to have a little plastic carrot in them Grin to act as a water level guide (but I lost them)

I fill right up to the brim so no air gap, and no leaks .

No bloody guinea-pigs drink from them though Hmm

I bought one of these for a couple of quid.. Let's see how long it lasts before they tip it over!

Ours leak. We have a corner rabbit toilet under the spout and fill it with bedding. Pigs don't particularly use it as a toilet but it stops the water bottle contents soaking the entire cage.

I've just bought this one and it seems to be leak proof.
I have also put a bowl under the other water bottle to catch the drips, one that hangs off the door so that it doesn't fill up with bedding too.
