Piggies first trip to the vet- stupid questions

I'm a bit anxious about taking my dd's pig to the vet. She's developed a bald patch in the last few days. I have some stupid questions. Can I take her housemate with her - they are in and out pigs and go crazy when I transport them from the outside run to the inside home separately so I cannot imagine leaving one at home! Also she's only going for a check up so I was going to put some food in the carrier - I'm presuming that's ok. The other thing that's making me nervous is that I'm a first time pet owner and we've been doing it all ourselves, clipping, checking teeth etc. if I do have anything wrong will I be in trouble? The gps are a year old and really we had thought we'd take them for a check after a few months but there did not seem to be any need. Thanks

I doubt you'll get in trouble. I always used to clip my piggies toenails myself and check their teeth myself. IME most owners do them things themselves. It's not worth going to a vet for those imo.

There's no reason why you can't take her friend with her but there's no reason why you should either. I can't see it been a problem either way.
