Roborowski dwarf hamsters?

Ds2 (12) has just brought one. We were advised one or 3/+ to stop fighting. I hope this was right plus only ever had singleton hamsters before. Ds2 has always been good wit hamsters and plays with them makes sure they are clean and fed etc. last Syrian died about 18 months ago so he's really excited to get a new one and felt he was old enough to cope with the slightly more complicated needs of a roborowski now.

The lady at the store seemed very knowledgable and quite enthusiastic about hamsters so I trust what she has said.

As he's new we are on minimal/no handling for first 24 hours and then slow introduction with offering fresh veg to build up to handling by the end of the week.

Anyone else got one and got any tips. Eg we used to put the Syrians in a ball while we cleaned the cage can we do this with this one?

Fresh fruit and veg what can we feed him?

Exactly the same as a Syrian care wise. One is fine. I used to have a pack, but there is usually some fighting that happens.

They are FAST. I mean lightening fast. Handle every day.

Otherwise easy peasy to care for. And bloody cute Smile

Here's Rob! He's very active at the moment getting used to his new and as an added bonus ds2 has finally tidied and cleared the shelves in his bedroom (we've got two dogs so didn't want him downstairs when they are alone )
