GP1 didn't like the Opera Singer on Britains Got Talent - is he Riff Raff?

When Lucy Kay was singing, GP1 (our older boar) got very animated/ stroppy. Ran about on my lap, poked his head into the crook of my elbow, started pulling my sleeve.

Very odd. I suppose the frequency of her voice was too high for his rodenty ears?

He won't be voting for her unfortunately Sad
(But he did like the trio in heels Wink )

He is definitely not riff-raff - I have to say, as a devoted fan of opera, that the quality of singing was distinctly below par.

Play him some Janet Baker or Dmitri Horovstovski - it's what all guinea pigs really enjoy.

Grin He's gone to bed now, I'll find him some on YouTube tomorrow.

He purrs wildly when DD plays the tune of "Animal Crossing" it's like a sitar playing.

I think it most important that we expose our domestic animals to a broad a range of quality art, music and literature as possible.

In the absence of a household pet, I have taken to inviting the resident spider population to watch episodes of John Berger's seminal work Ways of Seeing from the early 70s.

Our younger boar likes that Olly Murs Hmm there's no hope really (good job he's cute)

Do the spiders all line up nicely, sit down and cross their legs (four times) or scuttle away?
If they leg it , you might have the makings of a patented Spider Repeller Grin

Ah, now you see I said I invited them. Bastard Philistines didn't turn up.

They'd rather watch Ricki Lake or Maury or the like. They love programmes with whooping.

Don't worry too much about the Murs. My youngest human offspring adores him and she has yet to commit genocide or bank robbery.

The current Fortified Pigs eat all the way through BGT.

Smartie (RIP) used to like me to sing 'In the Jungle, the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight Confused He used to nodd his head along just to that song Grin

Smartie was Old Boy's brother. He didn't say much but had very expressive ears Wink

Mine like cookery shows, although they wheek in horror when chefs do horrific things to vegetables (cooking them)!

His little flappy ears picked up yesterday when he heard "Lettuce" was going to be on the show.
He was waiting patiently for the woman in the Hungry Bum playsuit and the violin to bugger off.........then realised that was her Shock

Dandelion Therapy was needed Wink
