Is 'helping' clean out their cage. Short of time and thought I would give them a quick clean out whilst they were still at home - this does not save time. Apparently it's great fun to crawl under the clean newspaper while I'm trying to spread it out and then emerge at the other end and crumple it up. Sitting in the middle of the cage and refusing to budge is also hilariousShock. And when your igloo is being filled with fresh hay you can tip it up and spread it everywhereConfused. Took ages to sort it but there was lots of popcorning pigs.

I've tried cleaning while the boys are in situ but it doesn't turn out pretty.
I worry about scooping them up in the dirty bedding (unlikely I know as they are hefty and wriggly)
They run into the hay as it tumbles onto the paper, get covered in hay and look like Village Idiots, pee on the paper (GP1) and run through it (GP3).
And they run off laughing purring. Wink

Grin My girls are fine on the rare occasion I clean with them in with, but I don't line the cage with newspaper.

Is that something I should be doing? Have always avoided it as was told the ink can be toxic if they nibble too much.
