Hutches needed - Kent

Hi, I have been helping out someone who rescues rabbits and guinea pigs down the road from us. She recently took on about 60 guinea pigs from a breeder who could no longer cope. We could really do with any hutches any one can spare. If anyone can please spare a hutch they no longer need, and donate it to the rescue, we would be very grateful. Please inbox me if you can. We are near Maidstone in Kent, and I can collect it. Thanks.

I'm in Orpington and have a hutch sitting in my back garden (will not be replacing the rabbit). If someone can come and pick it up, you can have it.

Thanks very much wannaBe. :) Can you please inbox me your address and I'll see if I can arrange something.

Hi bendertherobot - you are doing a grand job with all those rescues, it makes me [rage] when I think about all those little souls needing a home, and the like of P@H importing even more.

However, rant aside, was going to ask you to post up on your local FREECYCLE, I am sure there will be one near you, people are always getting rid of hutches, runs and the like and am sure they will be pleased to donate to such a good cause. Try the Guineapig Magazine to see if they will advertise for you? Or try Gumtree, you may have to pay small amounts, but people may be willing to drop their prices if they know it is for a good cause. IF I lived nearer I would come and give you a hand with them all, poor little things. :( Good luck :)

I used to help out a lady who did similar rescues in Cheshire, she advertised for free equipment in all the local newsagents, village magazine etc and people were incredibly generous. Hope you get a good response.

Aw thanks guineapiglet. I get really angry thinking about P@H as well.

Thanks for your advice. I will give it all a go. :) I wish that you did live nearer, we could use all the help we can get!

I remember a website for a rescue in Cheshire a long time ago, about 2005? I wonder if it's the same 1. Did her rescue have a name?

Hi bender. Do you need homes for the piggies? We are in the market but finding it difficult to find a rescue.
