Where do your piggies live?

Just that really, what room do your piggies live in? Also what do you use for their home?

We've decided to keep guinea pigs again, seems they are an essential part of life as I don't feel right not having any

I haven't found ones yet as I've got my heart set on a particular breed so I'm just sorting out their home.

We have 2 hutches for summer and a v. Large run but they will be inside for a great deal of the time.

I am fairly old school and always used a cage, I have a huge one that I can use but lately I've been reading things referring to c&c cages - what are they?

I need something suitable for the lounge where twin toddlers can't get at them!

Any ideas?

G, the friendliest one seemed poorly last week. Kept an eye on her and she was doing this funny cough type thing and lost her voice (still vibrating but no audible purr). I took her to the vet and she is on antibiotics for a respiratory infection. She's a few days into her course and seems perkier, phew - am pretty attached to her already not that I stayed up all night with her or anything

A, sadly think she is pregnant - best guess would be 4-5 weeks. She is really settling in though and eating/drinking well.

B, very skitty. Needing careful handling and pretty wary of people but has bonded nicely with the other 2

Now we have 3 instead of 2 we are rethinking our cage, especially if we end up with more female babies. Ours is 120cm and the run is 6'x6' (they haven't been out in that yet as too cold & wet). Had only planned on having 2 initially so thought the cage would be fine.

The biggest cage I've found is 150cm - has anyone seen anything bigger or do I need to look again at the c&c set ups?
