new bun is sitting on the back of the sofa...

Got new bun (neutered male) home sunday as a companion for our bun (spayed girl).
And they seem completely indifferent to each other! One minor argument over the food bowl, but other than that they just stare at one another, with the occasional nose touch and then she runs!
Is this normal??
And new bun has taken up prime position on the back of the sofa do you think he believes he's a cat??

i love buns and g.pigs!! as your furry friends are not able to reproduce that's good, itseems newbe has staked his territory and has made it clear that he is going to be boss as she was in your home first she might feel abit intimidated by this lad and thats why she runs away, but unless they are fighting, i'd give it time for them to settle together, maybe another food bowl might help, okay they will probably eat from each others it's worth a try.its good that you've got two as they are social animals and need bunny company. they might never snuggle up together but i'm sure it while be fine, have fun!

He may well think he's a cat. My GP's think they are rabbits and I'm sure my rabbit thinks he is a dog.

He's probably trying to be the boss and by getting up high, he's making himself look important. He could also be on sentry duty looking for predators.

At least they aren't fighting. We have the opposite situation with a neutered male and we're thinking of adopting him a spayed lady friend. Will be interested to hear how you get on with them.

He remains in pole position on the top of the sofa, but she-bun has now started joining him for short periods of time.
Iv started scattering their fresh food around a bit so we have had no more bickering.
I love my buns, and I love my gps- just a shame they don't love each other
