dear ladies
this will be our first winter with our rabbit 'John pickles' we usu let him out all day in our secure garden or in his pen but dh never wants to let him out when it's wet underfoot but I think he'd be fine for a few hours?
the other thing is when do we have to put him in an indoor cage for the winter?
thanks in advance

He'd be fine out when it's wet providing he's able to access shelter whenever he wants. I had one who loved being out in the garden but if it was wet underfoot would only walk on the path! Rabbits can stay out all winter providing their hutch is insulated, but I would bring him in with the first frost.
