Frozen Food?

I was just having a ponder....could i feed my piggies and my bunnies thawed frozen veg?

If not, why? As its touted as being as fresh as 'fresh' veg, in some cases its claimed higher levels of nutrients and retained as locked in frozen freshness?

I haven't btw, so dont panic about them if they cant have it, would make it easier and cheaper to provide a wider variety though wouldnt it?

TIA

I'm pretty sure I've read that you shouldn't give them anything that's been frozen, although I don't really know why tbh.

Ive found a few that do, with no ill effects, loads saying dont, but no-one saying why? Just thoughht it might be an econimical way to increase variety

I confess I have no idea why not Blush I tend not to on the basis that I normally have plenty of fresh fruit and veg scraps around, as well as loads of hay and nuggets for them so no need to give them frozen stuff. I was tempted to try them with frozen spinach cubes at some point, that's when I Googled and found all the people saying not to.

One of the people I saw saying it shouldn't be done was saying it would be OK in an emergency Hmm
