Guinea Pigs outside...

Can they go out now? We got them a few months ago as babys, wondering if they're Ok to be moved out by now, we're in the South if that makes a difference (thinking climate)

Also, are they OK just outside in an outside hutch? What if it rains?

We put our hutch (grown-up pigs) outside a couple of weeks ago. We do have tarpaulin over the top of it. We tried the see-through bubble-wrap on the bottom door, but that didn't work for us. Just make sure they have enough hay in the bedroom for them to snuggle down in.

So it will need waterproofing then?

What do you mean by outdoor hutch?

Ours is weatherproof, it is wooden and has a sloping wooden roof covered with that roofing felt stuff.

What is yours like?

Not got one yet... going to pick one up. Just a basic wooden one like this.

Going to put it in the enclosure in the back garden so can have the door open during the day and they can roam around.
