Rabbit enjoys late nights

I hardly ever stay up beyond 10pm, but am stuck waiting up for DH to come home (he's forgotten his keys). Have noticed that our house rabbit is very lively at this time of night. She's been running round, leaping on everything. She's normally only this lively in the morning. It's lovely to watch. I just wish I felt as energetic as she does.

I don't know much about house rabbits - do they use litter trays like cats, if so how often? Does your bunny just stay on the floor or hop upstairs too? I must sound like a nutter here!

Ours does use a little tray - she has 2 and nips off to the loo quite often. She stays in our living/dining/kitchen - house is open plan. She will wander off upstairs if anyone leaves the door open - usually to burrow under a duvet.

Does she ever poo or wee on the floor...I would love another cat but as near to road cannot, maybe a rabbit is the answer - are they cuddly like cats are, and good fun to be with?

This is because rabbits are bi-uernal. They are active at dawn and dusk and sleep during the night and day.

House rabbits can be litter trained if they are neutered. They will hop upstairs so bunny proofing is a must unless your happy to share - they chew!

Rabbits can be cuddly but they dislike being picked up- if you sit on the floor or a chair they can jump on your lap for a fuss.

Mine is super active between dusk and midnight - you can see this white ball of fluff shining in the dark garden (lives outside).

And as triballeader says, he likes a bit of a stroke but not being picked up, and he loves to just sit under your chair and keep company.
