At breaking point

OH substance misuse is getting too much. He’s now going missing daily and smoking crack. Sometimes he comes back and begs for money and wakes me up all night with the paranoia.

I think I have PTSD I don’t know. When he drinks and uses drugs he has gone missing for days and been abusive for hours in the night. He has threatened to break my door down and come to the school area.

i am getting to the point where I want someone to report this to social services and tell them what he’s actually doing.

but what can social services do. They are aware of substance at first I thought it was alcohol. Have told me to go family support. Have begged for their help. Being MARAC. As he keeps turning up drunk and his behaviour is erratic. But not the crack. I want a contact centre. It’s the whole lifestyle the danger the risks the unreliability erc. I can’t do this anymore. I have 3 kids 2 babies. And lack of family support I am about to have a mental breakdown

my question is: what would a social worker do if a non primary caregiver was an active crack user. I would not likely to report this as the family of his are very nasty abusive people. I hope this could be understood. Thank you

If you won’t report him to the police for turning up and being aggressive, then I guess another option is to speak to the s hook safeguarding officer? They should then do a MASH referral and get you some support.
You do need to end this, he’s not in a fit state to be parenting and you need to show to external agencies that you are putting your children first.

Is he an ex? It's unclear.

You can't have a crack head around your children OP.

If you're still together you need to kick him out. If you're afraid of kicking him out contact a domestic abuse organisation for advice.

I would pack his stuff and let him know it's outside. He can go and live with his crack buddies.

If he bangs on the door and gets aggressive then call the police. You can also buy a video doorbell.

Keep an active user away from your children.
