Advice on changing rehab facility

My brother is currently at Betel and has been there for three months. He is now complaining that its too strict and he doesnt feel like he is getting any help with regards to addiction, just lots of bible reading. I am not sure how much of this to believe - I accept the need for strictness but not sure I believe the lack of addiction support.

He wants to try and move to Emmaus - has anyone had any experience with them? I cannot see any support for addiction, rather help in getting back into the workplace etc. I cant see anything that would stop him being able to drink, let alone deal with addiction, but I could be wrong?

Thanks

Hi, sorry you are going through this,Your brother is right and betel doesn't do anything to help with addiction. It's not rehab it's just a place for them to get closer to god and work. It works for some people for a short time. Your brother needs actual help with his addiction. Sorting through the past and focusing on positive change for the future

I'm in recovery myself and the people for whom
Rehab worked tended to go to a "12 step" one which is working the Alcoholics Anonymous programme and then you continue going to meetings once you leave.

Are there any of those he could move to?
