Does it ever get better?

After cutting down off the codeine, Iv felt like I’m dying, I did have to go back up by 1-2 tablets but the doctor said this is fine! But then when I cut down a week later it all happened again, sweats, goosebumps, my legs feel broken they are so painful, can not sleep at all! Vomiting and dirhhea, no appetite, headache from hell. I feel like I can’t go on with it!! Does it get better??? Is it better to put myself through this week after week or just stop and get it over with? I’m pregnant and doctor is worried stopping suddenly will
put my body under too much stress but I’m suffering so badly and I feel there is no end to this right now it’s like a very dark dark tunnel
