I am here to admit I have an addiction. Not a drug addiction, but a shopping addiction.

I wanted to start a thread for mumsnet members that are also trying to quit something (smoking, alcohol, sugar, drugs, gambling etc). A place you can check in and be motivated by others to continue.

Today is day 2 of no shopping. I have tried this so many times before, but this time I am determined to see it through.

Today is day 3. Thankfully it is Monday and I am far too tired to even think about shopping. A day in bed binging TV it is.

Well done, @duvetdayforeveryone. I tend to stick to the alcohol free thread, but hope you continue to beat it one day at a time.

Hi - in recovery here too. Well done for deciding to make a change. Rather than binge watching tv all day can you schedule a walk? I will if you will. I will go at about 5:30pm and report back.

Sorry @DoItAfraid I only just seen your message. I took nap. However, there is still tomorrow and I will go for a walk in the morning and report back :)

It's all gone wrong!!!

H&M emailed me a £3 voucher Angry Instead of being strong and deleting it, I bought a pair of tights for £5 so I spent £2.

Then today I passed a charity shop with a box of shoes selling for £1 a pair, so I bought a pair of ankle boots for £1.

But the price of the items is not the issue. The issue is I have no self control whatsoever Blush

So now I'm on Day 0. Tomorrow will be Day 1. I will start again in my quest to quit my shopping addiction.
