My brother has a long standing cannabis addiction and his life is a mess. Today he turned up unannounced in the city I live in (long train journey) but when I went to collect him he'd disappeared. It's lockdown so not been able to get a hotel, he's never been here before so will be relying on Google maps to get around. I'm just not sure what he's playing at. The last train back has been and gone and he sent a text since so I know he's still in the city. But wtf. He arrived nearly 10 hours ago, there's nowhere to go and nothing to do. I guess he'll just have to sleep rough?! His phone is off. He knows my address but says he doesn't want to come. I'm not even that cross with him, just want him tucked up in bed and then I can have some sleep.
This behaviour is so off the scale of anything anyone has known him to do before. I've lived here for 20 years and he's not once shown and interest in visiting. I don't think it's worth calling the police or is it?
This is all caused really by his addiction, no-one will tolerate it anymore. I've always wanted him to get help and I'm sure he knows but I'm not here to nag, just want him safe. Where would I go from here, assuming he turns up.
