Training college haircut

Getting hair cut at a training college in an attempt to cut costs! Any tips to make life easier for the apprentice and so I end up with as good a cut as possible?

I've done it a few times in the past. They're always quite closely supervised and I've always been happy with the result even with a complete result from long hair to a pixie. I've explained to the student what it is I want and then she explains to her supervisor what it is and how she is going to do it before they make a start. Be prepared for it to take a lot longer than usual. I've been in there for up to 3 hours just for a cut.
