Tong vs straighter curls

I'm pretty rubbish at curling my hair.

What is the difference between a straightener curl and a tong curl.

Both how the curl will look and how easy it is to achieve a decent look.

Best curl gadget in my opinion is the babyliss curl secret, i cant curl with straighteners and tonged curls don’t last for me. Curl secret curls last days. I also just bought one of those silk tube headband things that you wrap your damp hair round and tie like a headband, great curls and no heat so no damage.

Sorry just realised i gave no answer to the actual question. I think the straightener curls are more beachy waves and tongs a more round actual curl if that helps, the curl secret can do loose or really tight ringlet curls depending on how long you set it for and at what temperature.

Straightener curls are harder to achieve and fall out almost immediately for me.

I straighten my hair then use a basic wand that you hold the end of your hair and wrap around and it takes me 15 minutes to get gorgeous curls that last at least 2 days.

A decent heat protection spray, hair oil and hair spray are necessary!

I have also got a Dyson Air Wrap but only use it for drying now, the curls fall out straight away.

Do you cold shot the curls? Also mousse on wet hair before you style.
I'm a hairdresser and use this most days on clients.

Op, I prefer straightener curls, lots of YouTube videos on how to create different curls too.
