What do you NEVER wear due to body limitations?

For me it has to be polonecks- although swan like of neck, a sagging jawline and large bosoms make me look ridiculous.

OP posts:

Shorts, bikinis, cropped tops, skinny jeans, leggings, jeggings,

NomDePlume · 31/05/2010 18:22

gypsy style blouses, they make me look like a milkmaid/wench slut due to boobage.

wrap dresses - despite what Trinny and Tranny say, they make me (booby) look frumpy.

Tricky to toe the line between slutwench and frump when you are busty. Hard to get it right.

FromGirders · 31/05/2010 18:23

Doc Martens or any other stompy boots. They just look ridiculously CUTE in a size one, and that isn't the required look!

ThingOne · 31/05/2010 18:28

I'm reddish with fair skin, so any tops in the wrong colour are out. And that's a lot of colours!

I have horrible legs now accessorised with some great scars, so I don't run to shorts or short skirts.

NomDePlume · 31/05/2010 18:28

Size 1 ?!

Awwwwwwwww. My 7.5yo DD is a 1.5!!!

Sorry, you prob get that all the time. As you were

EdgarAllenPoll · 31/05/2010 18:40

polo necks, cowl necks.. anything that is bad for a short neck..

skinny jeans - i have slim lower leg, and fat thighs....just looks like a massve carrot.

used to wear short skirts....but just above knee length is my current limit

narrow/pointy shoes (wide feet)

crrently i have to wear vests with low cut stuff - too much of a good thing in the norkage region isn't pretty.

EdgarAllenPoll · 31/05/2010 18:40

oh and shorts are the work of the devil.

Flip flops or any sandals with a toe-post, due to a nasty scar in exactly that place.

Shorts because I am not supermodel thin.

Crop tops ditto.

FromGirders · 31/05/2010 19:04

Yes, ndp, I do.

dwpanxt · 31/05/2010 19:08

I have to watch how deep the 'V' is on a v necked top as I have had a mastectomy and wear a stick on boob. It looks okay covered up but would frighten the horses if exposed. For the same reason I cant have anything sleeveless that goes beyond the underarm as the scar and left over lump is unsightly (looks like a very small boob under my arm at the back).

I would love to find a pair of shorts I could wear but dont think they make them for my size and shape.

Kaloki · 31/05/2010 19:09

Anything strapless, my boobs are too big to be let loose in a strapless bra

NoahAndTheWhale · 31/05/2010 19:10

V necked dresses where the material wraps over IYSWIM. In my case this emphasises the lack of breasts.

dwpanxt · 31/05/2010 19:10

Oh and actually nothing sleeveless unless I am in a familiar place as I wear a full length lymphedema sleeve too.

Bousy · 31/05/2010 19:41

Jeans. My arse won't fit.

TiggyR · 31/05/2010 21:04

Edgar L O fucking L at the massive carrot! I'm with you there, 100% !!! I've spent many a long hour trying to think of the right adjective for me in skinny jeans, and that is it!

Also NomdePlume re: the frilly milkmaid look/peasant top. I am with you there too! A big chest and a small waist is either a blessing or a curse depending on how you dress it. I spend most of my time standing in front of changing room mirrors in something feminine and frilly, pronouncing that I look like (either) Widow Twanky, or a drag queen.

pointydog · 31/05/2010 21:13

very very rarely wear sleeveless

cyb · 31/05/2010 21:14

toe post shoes like fit flops. they make my fuggly clown feet look VILE

EdgarAllenPoll · 31/05/2010 21:18

River Island even had a jean style called 'the carrot' - is that meant to sell them??

VengefulKitty · 31/05/2010 21:21

Anything clingy since I put on 2st and got a muffin top.

crumpette · 31/05/2010 22:06

I never wear shorts

2old4thislark · 31/05/2010 22:17

A bikini - wobbly tummy

Hipster jeans - again wobbly tummy

Heels - arthritic feet

Very high heels - arthritic feet and don't want to be 6 foot tall.

TiggyR · 31/05/2010 23:00

I'm 44 and I've just bought my first ever dress ever that's (slightly) above the knee. (though I'll only wear it with thick black opaque tights.) Admittedly, I've just lost 2 stone, but I'm no lighter/slimmer now than I was when I was in my 20's. But in those days I hated myself for not being a size 8 to 10, whearas now, being a large 12/small 14 doesn't seem such a bad place to be. It's all about perspective. When I was younger I thought I was fatter/uglier than I really was. I've only learnt (with the wisdom of middle age) from looking back at photos of myself, that I was quite cute all along!

GetOrfMoiLand · 31/05/2010 23:05

Swimsuits. I am very long waisted, swimsuits are just too short and veree uncomfortable.

Bias cut skirts and dresses. Make me look hippy.

Ankle strap shoes. I have nice legs but these make my ankles and calves look fat. Very unflattering.

The colour pink.

gaelicsheep · 31/05/2010 23:07

Short skirts - horrible knees
Mid length skirts - horrible ankles
Shorts - goes without saying
