For me it has to be polonecks- although swan like of neck, a sagging jawline and large bosoms make me look ridiculous.

here's a summer jumper, they have loads of nice v-neck cashmere ones in the winter

I tend to go for more layery things in winter rather than one thick layer (I think one thick layer looks matronly with giant norks). So I would wear a camisole (longer and peeking out the bottom) then a thin jumper like above or a 3/4 sleeve v-neck top, then a thin waterfall cardigan over the top.

A bikini or hipster jeans. 3 children, a love of all things bad to eat and not enough exercise has left me with a delightful stomach that will never be seen in public.

Shorts or short skirts - too many broken veins on my legs.

I'm gorgeous, me.

bobbiewickham · 31/05/2010 11:00

Shorts - big hips, jelly belly.

Sleeveless - dinner lady arms.

Anything short - Ernie Wise legs.

Square necklines - don't suit me.

Crew necks - look like a head on a plate.

Tight dresses - just no.

Leggings/skinnies with a short top - nope.

Vests as boobs too big and anything tucked in as too straight up and down.Red makes me look like a nutter

SofaQueen · 31/05/2010 11:18

I'm a midget so no maxi dresses, big patterns, maxi skirts, big shoulder pads.

squashedfrogs · 31/05/2010 11:24

Anything strapless or spaghetti straps - due to very large chest. Can on very rare occasions wear wrap around dresses/tops.
Polo necks - can't stand anything tight around my neck.

darksideofthemooncup · 31/05/2010 11:34

Any skirt that ends above the knee, due to my big fat thighs and cauliflour textured knees

Longtalljosie · 31/05/2010 11:41

Skinny jeans - and to my eternal regret, long woollen skirts. Narrow waist, wide hips...

ladymarian · 31/05/2010 14:05

The very thought of wearing shorts makes me shudder - I have hideous legs (short, fat knees, cellulite) I don't even like looking at my legs so I wouldn't expect anyone else to! Also not keen on anything sleeveless as I seem to be developing dinner lady arms. Cardigans are my friend!

dinkystinky · 31/05/2010 14:07

skinny jeans, cropped trousers, long boots - all due to my abnormally chunky calves...

TiggyR · 31/05/2010 16:58

Anything which shows my legs, they are too short and too dumpy. Although I have a killer cleavage and a pretty good waist for a (slightly) fat bird.

Having said that, I am careful with my cleavage. I like to show it, but some tops and dresses are so low cut that I just look like I'm trying to shove it up everyone's nose. I'm just not confident enough at 44 to do that any more. A flatter-chested girl could wear it and no-one would bat an eyelid, but I wear it and no-one knows where to look for the best.. So I have a plethora of little camisole tops in every colour just to take the edge off it, as it were.

TiggyR · 31/05/2010 16:59

Ooh, yes, and the bingo wings obviously.

GeekOfTheWeek · 31/05/2010 17:17

A thong bikini

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 31/05/2010 17:30

Loads of things due to big norks, curvy hips, gappy toes, over-45 knees etc - but the thing that makes me sad is not being able to wear a bikini.

Not so much now (I don't think the lack of seeing a 47yo me in a bikini is a great loss to the world) - but I still had a stonking figure after two and even three DCs, and was young enough to get away with it.

But the happy arrival of an 11lb 10oz baby no2 put an end to ever showing my stomach again.

Cocobear · 31/05/2010 17:48

I used to have a longish list, and then I moved to Brazil. Everyone wears a very small bikini down the beach - no matter what body shape or age. Lycra is ubiquitous. The other day in the supermarket I saw a VERY large woman wearing a rather tight, fitted mini dress in a splashy, bright floral pattern... and she looked great.

It's true what they say, it's all confidence, isn't it? Because I've seen plenty of overweight women here in lycra leggings and tight tops, and they pull it off. They look good, no two ways about it.

Petsville · 31/05/2010 17:55

Skirts
Shorts
Short sleeves
Polo necks
Round necked T-shirts
Leggings

Bad legs, FF cup boobs, wide hips. Actually struggling to think what's left that I can wear now - I used to have a small waist and look good in tailored things, but at 30 weeks pregnant that's not true any more and probably never will be again. Ponchos for the rest of my life, I expect.

Spidermama · 31/05/2010 17:59

Trousers.

wonderingwondering · 31/05/2010 18:01

Sandals that don't have good foot coverage. Bunion-like lumps on my rather large, wide, flat feet. Lovely. If I had a magic wand, they're the thing I'd change about myself!

nappyzoneloveschinesefood · 31/05/2010 18:01

A condom . sorry couldnt resist - obviously i cant as i dont have an ermmm willy being a laydeeeeee n all.

ThickyStarlightTrollGirl · 31/05/2010 18:04

Hipsters, basques, moisturiser, handbags!

HurleySatOnMe · 31/05/2010 18:09

A bikini. I have a wrecked tum. I overcame my knee fear today though and wore one that reveled my knees. I feel liberated, after about 5 minutes I didn't care, and I have to say, nobody else seemed to either. I thnik I was expecting some kind of stretch mark klaxon to go off

Cocobear · 31/05/2010 18:11

Good for you, Hurley!

NomDePlume · 31/05/2010 18:13

cropped tops

shimmerysilverglitter · 31/05/2010 18:15

Open toe sandals - have horrible toes
