Anyone interested in a style thread for the short but not petite among us?

I am 5'2 and a 16-18. I love the style threads and would love to get some inspiration from those of a similar size/shape.

I am trying to lose weight but it is slower going than I hoped due to a knee problem and I am stuck in a fashion rut. I definitely lost my confidence with clothes after having my dds and becoming a SAHM.

I have already committed several fashion faux pas (according to some anyway ) because I am the proud owner of a maxi dress and some cropped trousers.

Anyone willing to join in?

Hello - 5'3 here and a size whispers 20

Wondered if anyone saw Gok Wan last night? He restyled a shortish, largest apple shaped lady and I was pleased to see that some of the capsule wardrobe was similar to things I have already bought.

My problem is I am loathe to spend money on clothes as I always intend to lose weight, so I look rubbish in cheap stuff as I never seem to manage to do it!

I used to reduce thigh rub by wearing a pair of men's boxer shorts underneath . If the skirt is loose enough around the hips then nobody can tell. Saved me from having to wear trousers all the time. Bought them from Primark so not £££.

I saw Gok but was not impressed with his assertion about bootcut trousers. I don't agree it's the best cut for an apple. I didn't like the maxi she wore at the end either.

I need to find me a nice top in blue or green to go with this skirt. Was thinking of wearing it with a pair of wedge sandals (which I've yet to buy). Need cap sleeves (definitely agree with you there thereistheball), fitted but not clingy and v or scoop neck. Any ideas?
