Elf I think your OP dress is lovely - and won't look over/underdressed no matter what others are wearing. Have you tried it on?

Alternatively, have you thought about this. Which could be as dressed up/down as much as you like with the right shoes/accessories?

Bosom - no, not tried it on, I tend to search online and then go into the shop to try on.

Ewe - didn't know ASOS did lager sizes, am off for a nosy on the dresses. Strapless is okay, so long as it doesn't feel as if I need to be hoisting up all night.

If there was some kind of under/overdressed issue, all the Miami people will just think "Oh, she's English, that's what they wear to Gala dinners in England, how adorable." Probably.

There are a few people from the UK going, and I know a few of them, but they're guys, so would probably look really confused if I asked them what they were planning to wear
