Has anyone had Botox? Would you?

I am seriously considering it.

I do not have deep wrinkles as such, however I am as blind as a bat and have somehow got into the habit of frowning, both to see and in concentration.

I have seen myself on video conferencing (the invention of beelzebub) and I look Frowny Frownson of Frownington. I must look like a real sourpuss.

I have very dry skin and there are slight furrows on my forehead. I just want to stop it in its tracks.

I know this is very vain, but have had a look and it seems to be available for around £200. Am very tempted. Any advice?

I am very tempted once I give up bf.

I'd go to Dr Sebagh in London having done a little research and he's about £400 a go which is rather expensive!

cyb · 21/04/2010 17:50

but he does Cindy crawfords...and £400 is only about £150 more than my mate pays in surrey

traceybath · 21/04/2010 17:53

I know and he's meant to be very good - not that I studied in minute details the plastic surgery guide in Harpers this month - oh no

BitOfFun · 21/04/2010 18:03

Riven- it just relaxes the muscles underneath the lines. And it doesn't give you a shiny face at all- I think that is a sign of too much. I think Riven and I should get all this stuff for nothing on the NHS for having 'challenging' children . I would look ten years younger if it weren't for my kids.

I saw Fay from Holby in rl at a restaurant and she looks the absolute morph of Liz Hurley!

I bet they share a facialist and and a needle wielder. Both of their chins have become weirdly elongated over the years too!

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/04/2010 18:08

Ooh BOF - someone who has done it!

Well that sounds OK then.

I am sorely tempted.

Thanks for those links for creams and magic potions by the way.

I too wouldn't mind laughter lines - I think crows feet look very attractive. It's the bloody buggers on my forehead. At this rate I will look like [[http://www.jeffreyarcher.co.uk/images/ja.jpg this] ere long.

topsi · 21/04/2010 18:09

Love it, couldn't possibly live with out it

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/04/2010 18:10

Who is Fay in Holby city?

Is it the slapper nurse who used to be Tina in Corrie?

Does minor plastic surgery tempt you into the major stuff?

I am thinking, so first step botox. Next step 'oh god look cats bum mouth' so restylane. Then teeth whitened. Then liposuction because your arse is wobbly. Then full tummy tuck and then your boobs.

Next step you are Jodie Marsh.

It's restylane for cats bum mouth then, is it GetOrf ?

I purse my lips when I'm worrying. And I sleep on my front, which squishes them as well

Jamieandhismagictorch · 21/04/2010 18:16

Patsy Kensit is Fay

crumpette · 21/04/2010 18:16

Yes GetOrf once you've crossed the line then nothing holds you back. You will be MN's very own Jodie Marsh.

Actually I think non-surgical and surgical would still be a leap though, so you could dabble with injectables for a while and turn out like Lesley Ash or Amanda Holden and then once you've exhausted all of that you'll be on to the full body lift/replacement.

And finally at the end of it all you will look like this

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/04/2010 18:17

Oh god yes the pillow marks. I sometimes drive all the way to Bristol in the morning before the creases disappear.

I am really going to seed.

Didn't think this when I was merrily applying heather shimmer at the age of 14 and complained about my skin then.

Didn't know my luck.

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/04/2010 18:19

Oh Patsy Kensit.

Yes she is a strange one. Mind you she looked waxen and expressionless when she was in 8th wonder all thsoe years ago, don't think can blame just the surgery.

Yes crumpette - I probably would go down that sorry road! is probably a good job I haven't won euromillions.

'tis one small step between zits and wrinkles.

I have been labouring under the misapprehension that I have a greasy T zone for years - until I had a Clinique consultation and the very confused girl told me I have dry skin - she seemed to not realise that I was 19 really

i had it recently
only a small amount - went for 'consultation' and when i walked in the door said 'just do it'

i love it - no way back now though

nobody has noticed!

Dollytwat · 21/04/2010 18:46

What happens when you stop having it does anyone know? Do the lines just come back?

I have been yearning considering Botox and fillers for the motorway that's now between my eyes
