A/W09 nearly over - which items have you had the most wear out of, and which were a waste of money?

good buys for me:
Ash trainers - am so glad I bought two pairs, one black, one silver
Isabella Oliver cable cosy - have worn it to death
North Face parka thingy - has reconciled me, somewhat, to the cold
cashmere wrsitwarmers - warm hands without being slippy on the steering wheel
cashmere Travelwrap - just too lovely for words

waste of money:
long black boots - have hardly worn them, will ebay them in the next few days
DKNY cosy - gorgeous but too flappy, drives me mad, but would love to wear it sans children (say, 2020??)
Boden Henley dress - the buttons didn't come down far enough for bfing, have sold it now.

LTEC - Have one small DD. I travel a lot for work so have lots of childfree opportunites to wear

LTEC, I have a 20mth old DD. I mostly wear the cozy as a wrap top.

I was at Bicester Village earlier and in DKNY there were loads of cozys in black, grey, charcoal, bright pink, red and cream for £69.
There is also an Ugg outlet shop there now but don't know what the prices were like as you had to queue to go in as it was freezing so didn't bother!

There is also an Aubin & Wills shop but had odd clothes. Will have to go back sometime without dh as he is not a great shopper!

You see I tried on the dkny cozy and found it too flappy but I am only 5ft and don't get on with waterfall cardigans either.

Am going to bicester in a few weeks to meet sister - am tempted at thought of discounted uggs for round the house.

I didn't see any snoods there. I tried a cozy on a while back but it would drive me mad with the flappy bits so didn't get one.

Trainers are lovely but too small for my great hooves!

Springcourt pumps never stopped wearing them need a new pair quite fancy the silver ones.

I like those trainers. I never wear trainers but would like something instead of boots to wear with jeans. I tried some on in Clarks and dd1 said they looked nice but they were patent and so a bit scary.

Avoca Anthology Fuschia pink long knit cardi/coat with tie ribbons.

Max Mara long cashmere coat. It's lovely and I know I'll wear it for years.

Moss green blouse from Day & Birger (?) - it is truly lovely and was bought on a whim.

Worst

Velvet coat from Boden - horrible cut compared with last year and the year before and horrible colour too - it went straight back

Spotted skirt from Boden - too short and a bit shapeless A line. Sent straight back.

Silver leather Converse. Ditto Navy Blue Converse. Both worn a lot and still going strong.

Worst: Jigsaw cardigan - it makes me feel scruffy for some reason and I should never have bought it
