I like it.

Are you very tall? I think Isabella Oliver stuff is going to be way too long for me, those models look like they are very tall.

What you like is important... I think the DvF is not really a party dress, unless it is a very casual party? Even then I don't like that metal buckle thing... just my opinion.

I like the style of the second ones and the colour of the first!
momijigari I am 5'6'' so pretty average. Those models probably are very tall and wearing size 8s!

Actually I might like this in black

op - a bit meh for an evening dress, i think the arm is unflattering at that length too (depending on your upper arm tone)
though i lie the fit round the back/ waist.

love the billow dress, but plain colours...need lots of sparkly jewellery

the butterfly dress - you may be able to arrange dresses like this to look good with the wrap tie for more than two seconds, but its beyond me...

fo a giggle, look through these

is it just me, or are they all howlingly bad??

i am fashion-perving at this blue dress
ooooh.

wonderingwondering · 18/11/2009 20:32

That IO dress is nice, easier to match accessories to. A bit of a safer choice than the DvF. I'd risk the £8 delivery to give the DvF a try, though, is a bit different.

Have to go and sample the Great Meal now, so will be back later!

CybilLiberty · 18/11/2009 20:33

The Black billow dress is very Sade circa 1985 and therefore, rocks.

You do look like Sade don't you corny?

cornsilkwearscorsets · 18/11/2009 20:34

My eyes!

cornsilkwearscorsets · 18/11/2009 20:35

Yes Sade is cool! It might be long though.

cornsilkwearscorsets · 18/11/2009 20:39

Did you get your shoe boots cybil?

OP posts:
EdgarAllenPoo · 18/11/2009 20:52

ooh and this is less than half price

i liked Sade.

cornsilkwearscorsets · 18/11/2009 20:56

I think I like that. Have you seen it in RL?

OP posts:
momijigari · 18/11/2009 21:07

festive enough for you?

CybilLiberty · 18/11/2009 23:18

corny no I never did but I am perhaps still hankering after the grey suede ones from m&S.

Of course if I DO decide to buy them MN will be the first to know

LadyG · 18/11/2009 23:32

Don't like the ring thing. this is nicer. But still a tad summery

LadyG · 18/11/2009 23:34

It's actually wool-so ignore me. Hmmm going back for a closer look

momijigari · 18/11/2009 23:59

That is much better LadyG.

cornsilkwearscorsets · 19/11/2009 06:52

Thanks all for the ideas. Decided not to go for the matches one- have sent a different back just last week so am already £8 down! I may just have to drag myself to the shops.
