Right, I need some non-foundation wearers to join me in a little experiment

So having realised everyone wears foundation everyday I think it is time to give it a proper go....

I thought I would wear it everyday for a week and see if anyone magically says 'you are looking well TMAM'. If they don't notice, I shan't continue

Anyone else want to join me? I shall be using Clinique Barely There spf 15

Well I do wear tinted moisturiser everyday and have also done the reverse - go without = people notice. will be interesting to see if any of you get a reaction..

Tell me about tunted moisturiser. Has it improved since it first appeared because I tried it a few times and could never get one that looked right. They all seemed to make me look patchy and I felt greasy and uncomfortable all day.

I like the idea though. Any recommendations?

suiledonne · 08/11/2009 19:10

tunted???? Tinted obviously.

We'll see tomorrow Riven.

I think, using the right terminology, if you use the right foundation for your skin and get the right coverage then it hides the wrinkles.

I can live in hope can't I?

No7 tinted moisturiser is very good.

No patches, not greasy.

Goes on very well and evens skin.

BUT if you listen to a fanatical Style and beauty expert i shall not name, then she will say a big NO to tinted moisturiser atm.

We need our winter foundation at the ready.

I am off to the Chanel counter tomorrow for some Vitalumiere [told me emoticon]

largeginandtonic · 08/11/2009 19:24

Will beg for samples and cite your plight TMAM

EccentricaGallumBANG · 08/11/2009 19:28

i would but it gives me spots.
on the rare occasions when I do put on foundation you can gaurantee that by the end of the evening or day i will have 2 or 3 really huge zits.

ThePhantomPlopper · 08/11/2009 19:28

I use the No7 tinted moisturiser, found it to be good, have had to swap to heavy duty stuff though the past couple of weeks thanks to a pregnancy hormone overload. I look like a teenager!

Themasterandmargaritas · 08/11/2009 19:29

It's great having friends in high places.

Right I'm off to bed since I have to get up extra early to do my makeup my beauty sleep.

Sleep well little guinea pigs and I will check on your progress tomorrow.

largeginandtonic · 08/11/2009 19:31

You don't need sleep you have foundation.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 08/11/2009 19:42

I actually started wearing make up more often partly for this reason.
I don't have horrid complection but I started wearing a tinyed moisturiser now and again and on the days I did wear it people often said oh you look lovely, skin glowing etc.
Good luck everyone hope you get loads of compliments.

InterruptingKid · 08/11/2009 19:43

margaritas
but you are in the colonies

surely you is always helfee looking

Maveta · 09/11/2009 08:54

Yup No. 7 tinted moisturiser. and yes in winter you are supposed to switch to foundation but I'm sticking to what works

AvengingGerbil · 09/11/2009 08:55

Bother. I forgot to put any on before doing the school run. I'm just not used to this. I'll go do it now.

InterruptingKid · 09/11/2009 09:01

put it on you slatterns

NOW

paddingtonbear1 · 09/11/2009 09:05

I have just found some old benefit tinted moisturiser so I could join in too. I cycle to work though (not today - at home), not sure how well it will go with that! Could always take it to work with me I guess.

Themasterandmargaritas · 09/11/2009 09:19

Aveda! Get that slap on now.

So I put mine on after my run, that means I now have had it on for 3 hours and I feel a bit like I have lost all ability to move my facial muscles.

Themasterandmargaritas · 09/11/2009 09:20

Sorry Avenging I meant, was getting a little carried with all the beauty product talk.

OP posts:
fishie · 09/11/2009 09:21

oh bollocks i forgot. am sort of grey in face too as don't seem to have enough blusher on.

BonjourIvresse · 09/11/2009 09:28

There's no way I'm wearing foundation. Never have, never will.

LetThemEatCake · 09/11/2009 09:29

Oooh I've never worn foundation but every birthday (of which another is fast approaching) I wonder whether I should start.

So shall watch with interest.

Themasterandmargaritas · 09/11/2009 09:38

LTEC, I've seen a picture of you on your profile. You are the sort of annoying person who will never ever need to wear foundation.

Bonjourivresse, perhaps you need to start wearing it if you plan to embrace drunkeness so happily.

Elemental · 09/11/2009 11:05

Max Factor Facefinity is good if you can't be arsed - just sponge on like a powder, takes seconds. I deffo need foundation but couldn't be bothered to use anything but this in the morning.
