Wrist warmers, cool or old lady?

I am making some for christmas presents and I love them for the school run with pushing buggy/doing up coats etc but DH insist I look like a twat.
So which are they?

Depends whether your dh prefers you to have warm hands or cold.

Wrist warmers are tres cool at the moment.

i have old lady hands just recently noticed they've started to go a bit crepey which is why i wear wristwarmers at every possible opportunity, so no-one else is subjected to their horror

Unsurprisingly, Toast was selling these years ago. I've had pair for about 5 years, and wear them constantly at work in the winter, because my Oz school is not adequately heated.

Are cut off gloves the same thing? Am looking at Accessorize

yep they're same - i have their long grey stripey ones from last year which i've worn to death. i rather like the grey crochet ones too

I think they're cool. I made a couple of pairs last year for christmas pressies. You can make them as funky, or as old ladyish, as you want. I've seen some very sexy gothic/fetish ones on Ravelry...

Damn, there are lots of nice ones in there. I foresee a piggy bank raiding coming on...
