Do you resemble your DP/DH s previous wife/partner?

Probaly the wrong place to post this- but a friend met DHs ex today and commented how similar we are in looks - DH obviously has a'type' and I just wondered if anyone else had come accross this?
Is it a male thing as none of my old flames are remotely alike?

My brothers' GFs however look very similar and one of them has the same colouring as my mum (well they both do but one more so than the other)

No, my DH's wife looked like Julia Roberts at her best whereas I look like Ronnie Corbet.

My DH so resembled my brother that he was occaionally mistaken for him which made me feel like a total pervert for basically sleeping with my own brother

Friends at my wedding mentioned they'd had quite a long chat with DH's dad. This was strange as FIL is not the chatty type...

Oh yes, I look like the two previous one and his new partner looks like me.

There's a basic similarity - dark hair, distinctive eyes, same general style (to the point where, on a recent occasion when we met, we were dressed almost identically . She's a bit taller and bigger, I'm five years older.

Dh and my ex also have the same basic physical type, but chalk and cheese when it comes to personality. Both nice guys, just very different.

LOL@ some funny replies! My DP's ex was 5'11", 20 stone and an accountant,living in a posh part of Leeds.
I on the other hand was a single mum living in a council house with 2 children when we met, never had a serious job, 5'1" and half the ex's size. So completley different!

although, i met up some time ago with a "friend" of mine (was never a boyfriend, we just used to snog a lot) ata wedding and he was with his new girlfriend, who looked scarily like me.

I am six foot, anaemically pale with blonde hair, size 10-12, average looks.

DP's x girlfriend was Indian ethnicity, 5 foot 2, big boobs, very pretty.

His ex ex was German, average height, red hair, stunningly beautiful (looks like the model Gisele Bunschen)

His ex ex ex has very dark hair, pale skin, average height and rosy cheeks, very good looking and very lovely (we are friends).

DP has no type as such. I used to have a type (tall, dark) and DP breaks the mould in being the only bloke with blonde hair I have ever been out with.

My dh was but a sweet young thing when I met him, and only had one previous proper GF, who I've never met. But we were a bit on-and-off in the early years, and from the various casual flings that he paraded in front of me on those occasions, I worked out that he likes women who look pretty much like me. Except fatter.
