UGG-style boots with a proper sole (and not £££?)

I have some Snug UGGs which are lovely and warm but have crapola soles. Any recommendations for similar boots that one can actually walk in (i.e proper foot support) would be great. Sadly I can't buy the UGG Australia ones as my marriage would be over...

Oh now I'm even more confused!

FabMum1 · 20/10/2009 17:50

Strumming fingers..............
Still haven't decided which ones to get.

Thank maybe the Celtic Sheepskin ones are a little expensive ?

Arrrrrggghhhhh.......

Allow me to confuse you further? These are made by the same factory that makes the ones sold by Kiwi Sheepskin, which is a supplier for UGG Australia. They are only £75, including delivery (plus potential customs charges). I decided on the slightly more expensive Kiwi ones purely because I don't want to walk around with a label on the back of my boot. Enjoy ruminating...

Oh Coco
They're lovey too.

My choices are -
Emu
Kiwi
or Canterbury

HELP SOMEONE PLEASE!

paddingtonbear1 · 20/10/2009 20:54

FabMum as you know I've got the kiwi, and they're fab, but if I didn't mind having a label on the back I'd probably go for the Canterbury, if I were you. Good price and they look virtually the same. Good luck!

FabMum1 · 21/10/2009 13:15

Paddington I can see what you mean re the label. Maybe not those ones then, don't really fancy that.

Back to Emu or Kiwi....

CocoK · 21/10/2009 15:07

The Emus I've seen haven't got a sturdy sole like the Kiwis do. So if you plan to walk a lot in them I'd definitely go for the Ultimate boots from NZ, unless you can find Emus with a proper sole with foot support. Good luck!

Hoping you can tell me what they're like

CocoK · 21/10/2009 21:30

Hi - no, they haven't arrived and with the postal strike, who knows when. Will report back when they do.

I have been looking at the other Mums boots in the playground today and didn't see any I liked, at all!

Its all so confusing!

CocoK · 27/10/2009 13:37

My boots arrived today and I am very pleased with them. They are quite tight around the calf but came with a note saying they'll stretch over a week or so. The fit is excellent - the sizing tool on their website is well worth using to get the right size (I'm a UK 6 but ended up with a US size 9). So comfortable - the soles are thick and solid but the boots aren't heavy. And I wasn't charged import duty either....
