will anything look lovely with a nice soft brown cord knee skimming a line skirt?

I picked one up in perfect condition at a charity shop yesterday, a nice label for £3 but the reason I got it is the fabric is just to die for, it is so soft and scrumptious and the lining is lovely. I dont really wear brown much I'm really a grey/green/black girl but I dont object to brown. Anyway I tried it on last night with different tops of mine just to get an idea of shapes etc and I cant find anything to pair it with. As I see it I am going to have to buy everything new for it - tights, boots and top. I have 2 pairs of boots, grey cardy uggs and black bikers with silver buckles, I dont guess they will go? All my tights are black with patterns. And most certainly none of my tops look remotely decent in either colour or shape.

So anyway this is brown, a-line, and just touches the tops of my knees. whaddya think I should do with my "bargain"?

cuntwhacker that round neckline looks so virginal! I dont know if I can pull such a look off I'm a bit saucy LOL

I think of all the links so far I like the first one best, the one with the deep neckline but it is way over my budget (did you get the bit about me having the figure of Nigella but not the bank account ) and also if I am going to be really choosy I really like 3/4 length sleeves for winter jumpers. Dont know why full length sleeves give me the heebie jeebies.

Yes, I think slash neck would be lovely.

again

hereidrawtheline · 29/09/2009 10:38

I normally as a rule only ever wear tops that are this length here but again note sleeves too long

anyfucker and cunty it appears from the sticky site stuff thread your name days are numbered!

I dont actually know who cuntetc is (sorry I dont mind cunt I draw the line at whacker) but I do think I "know" the person in the MN not biblical (well probably not the biblical) sense of the word. Could be biblical if you play your cards right

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 29/09/2009 17:39

what ????????????????????????????

noddyholder · 29/09/2009 17:42

grey cashmere long sleeved slim jumper grey ribbed tights and brown brogue style heels long strand of primark pearls!

hereidrawtheline · 29/09/2009 22:27

oh dear what is the what about? the biblical knowing waffling or name waffling? I refer to the sticky thread saying perhaps nicknames shouldnt have swear words in them, by justine. the rest was just usual stream of consciousness madness I come out with.

noddyholder you are nicely specific! thanks!

A plum colour woollen top with matching colour tights and prehaps darker brown lace up shoes or knee length boots. The aim being to look like a funky Miss Marple

shopalot · 01/10/2009 18:05

I dyd loads of things very successfully... but point taken. In tesco they have £10 off cashmere at the moment which brings their v-necks down to £25.
