Please help me find a cardigan?

I have a fabbo M&S one and want to find another similar one but M&S seems to have failed me.

Mid-thigh length (but I am a short-arse);
Short or three-quarter length sleeves;
Open fronted, ie: no buttons - but none of those silly flouncy bits a la All Saints either;
Not belted;
Colour? Hmm - maybe a wine colour, or dark red; or black.

Hopeful thanks in advance.

Please?

I also need a dusky pink cardigan, if anybody has seen one.

i have dusky pink one from next. which is nice

cocolepew · 27/09/2009 17:55

They have a lovey cardi in Primark mens dept. It's nothing like what you want but I thought I'd share.

janeite · 27/09/2009 17:55

Really? I usually avoid Next but do have a nice purple one from there. Is your pink one current season? I want it to be old lady fusty pink, if that makes sense?

Have you tried the Gap?

janeite · 27/09/2009 17:56

Thanks Coco. Don't mind mens' but I don't 'do' Primark.

Kew have an open long cardigan but it's very lightweight. I'll have a look...

janeite · 27/09/2009 17:57

Gap failed me too, although they have a nice mauve-ish coloured one, with buttons. Like a grandad cardi.

H&M and Zara both had nice ones.

LadyoftheBathtub · 27/09/2009 17:58

here

southeastastra · 27/09/2009 17:58

it's a proper dusky browny pink, really nice. this season - they have a few colours. it's not that long though

janeite · 27/09/2009 18:00

The Kew one is nice - probably a bit too long though and certainly too expensive.

Will look for the Next one - the pink one doesn't have to be long!

Can't find a dusty pink one on Next site.

I bought a lovely purple cardi in Gap today with my 30% off voucher. I have looked at the web site but can't see it so no link I'm afraid.
It has no fastenings and is quite drapy with a hood. It is long enough to cover my bottom.
It sounds quite odd how I have described it but is really lovely. £49.50 but about £35 with discount.

VerityBrulee · 27/09/2009 18:44

Zara have lovely silk/cashmere mix boyfriend style cardigans, they are great, I have navy from last season and pale dusky pink I got a couple of weeks ago.

janeite · 27/09/2009 19:25

I saw the Gap one and it was yummy but a bit too long and drapey for little, norky me!

The Zara ones aren't what I'm after: I don't want buttons BUT I will have a look for a dusty pink one there, as that doesn't have to be the shape I describe in my OP.

Thanks all - keep 'em coming!

they're in-store, i couldn't find it online either or i'd have linked it

janeite · 27/09/2009 20:08

Will have a look - thank you.

I have this in purple, its quite slinky but in a good way. Looks different in RL but i think its this one

soyabean · 27/09/2009 21:08

Sleeves are full length though and cardi is hip length on me - I am 5'8

janeite · 27/09/2009 21:51

Lovely colour. Tpp drapey though - would prefer just straight seams at the front.

Most Uniqlo knitwear seems to be handwash - do you just whack it in the machine anyway?

OP posts:
janeite · 27/09/2009 21:52

Sorry - TOO, not tpp - I wasn't looking at the keyboard!

OP posts:
Ronaldinhio · 27/09/2009 21:59

this?

janeite · 27/09/2009 22:01

Don't like that one, sorry. Too thin and too acryllic and too bright.

Sorry - am being v fussy.

OP posts:
Ronaldinhio · 27/09/2009 22:03

this perhaps?
